We design, restore and transform buildings. Our interest is in how architecture can facilitate human well-being through careful adjustment of space using contemporary design and conservation skill in combination.
We see our task as binding together what is explicit and implicit in a project, thinking about how to make the best possible spaces using light, proportion, and sensitivity to what is already there, working closely with our clients' needs.
We have worked in corporate finance and cutting edge graphic design, on major infrastructure schemes, national monuments, couture retail environments and family homes. With RIBA Specialist Conservation accreditation together with award-winning contemporary materials research, we bring the benefits of our past collaborations to future projects.
Our solutions are never 'standard', and as such we do not have a "house style", but we do provide all of the services that you should expect from a registered Architect.

Wealden Hall - Grade II* listed, a contemporary intervention to reveal the medieval timber framed house within 400 years of accumulated brick additions.

Georgian - a Grade II listed terraced house with modernist additions reconciled through careful alterations.
Victorian
Project Description
Victorian - a terraced house adjusted by removing a floor to connect living and dining vertically, reinterpreting 'laundry' and 'pantry' as contemporary supporting spaces.
Late Victorian
Project Description
Late Victorian - fusing three properties back into one, removing walls and floors precisely to create modern spaces whilst reinterpreting the traditional family house.
Children's Garden
Project Description
Children's Garden - exemplary nursery school designed for and from the child's experience, achieved in nine months from inception to completion using recycled modular elements and Scottish larch.
St Pancras Church
Project Description
St Pancras Church, Euston - Grade I listed Greek revival church surveyed and re-roofed using bespoke lead details, setting benchmarks for terracotta cleaning and repair.
Palacio Pereira
Project Description
Palacio Pereira - partnering with Chilean architects to restore one of the most significant historic buildings in the capital, Santiago, for the offices of the Directorate of Libraries and Monuments, with public galleries, restaurants and a library.
Cecil Sharp House
Project Description
Cecil Sharp House - Grade II listed home of The English Folk Dance and Song Society, redesigning the reception hall and service spaces, threading a lift through the structure to create universal access.

Alan Chandler
Alan Chandler studied at the Architectural Association, with a previous award winning career in graphic design and typography. He has taught at the AA, the University of Cambridge, the University of Edinburgh and the University of East London where he holds a Readership. Alan has published research in significant architectural journals, and has collaborated on innovative concrete construction with Thomas Heatherwick and DOKA Gmbh.
Luisa Auletta
Luisa Auletta also studied at the Architectural Association, after pursuing a career in the City. She founded Arts Lettres Techniques in 1999 and has been running the practice since then. The practice has featured in a number of Design journals, both in the UK and abroad. She is an architectural adviser to a Conservation Area Advisory Committee.
